The exhibit “Terms, Conditions and Futures” is a two-part showing. The first part will take place in the loft of the Bitters Co. barn. The artist will present a suite of sculptures that synthesize some key concerns of his practice; namely the terms and conditions of space and place. The sprawling space of the barn and the historical use of the barn as a place for carrying out processes before going to market is a point of interest for Otero. The exhibit will feature a process-based piece used to make a series of mono-prints Otero calls reduction paintings. The results of this process; highly textured and colored works on paper, will be presented at the Bitters Co. La Conner shop for the second part of the exhibit.
